That´s how I make them (serves two): After running around in the woods I picked about 10 blossoms of the black elder at the edge of the forest.
With one egg, one glass of milk and one cup of flour (I usually take whole spelt flour but you can also use white wheat flour) and a pinch of salt I made dough like for pancakes.
Holding the blossoms at their flower stalk I dipped them in the dough and baked them from both sides with a little oil in a non-stick pan until they were golden. (You can also fry them like my Granny always did but I prefer to cut down on the oil)
Also. ;-)
Serve them while they are still hot with some powdered sugar on top either pure or with compote, vanillia ice or jam. Enjoy! (I enjoyed them without any guilty conscience since I was running around in the woods right before. ;-) )
